My enjoyment of still life comes from creating small worlds in which my objects can tell a story, either through postcards, books or fruit. I aim to create still lifes that are autobiographical as well as being clever in narrative. For imagery, I rely heavily on my travels, as well as other passions such as cooking and painting landscapes. My landscape work reveals gray days; these types of days seem to emphasize the rustic beauty of Ohio. My landscape and still life work convey calm reflection which allows the viewer to experience a sense of place and time to find comfort in.
